Douglas R. Brock works out of the Austin office where his practice emphasizes student issues, employment law, and governance. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where he served on the Law Review Editorial Board and as a research fellow. While in law school, Doug focused on providing legal services to the most vulnerable within our society through his work with the Child and Family Litigation Clinic and the law school’s pro bono service project. Doug also holds a Masters in Public Policy with a focus in education policy from Vanderbilt University, where he received an academic excellence and service award, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education and History from Bowling Green State University. After completing his undergraduate degree, Doug served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal where he conducted teacher trainings and traveled the countryside. Upon returning to the United States, he taught middle school social studies and reading in inner city Cleveland, Ohio. Doug began his legal career as a clerk at Walsh Anderson and is licensed to practice in Texas.
