Stacy Tuer Castillo has been practicing law since 1996. She graduated summa cum laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where she was a Staff Writer and Member of the St. Mary’s Law Journal. Prior to law school, she graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Texas – Austin. During law school, she was a judicial intern for Justice Raul Gonzalez of the Texas Supreme Court. Following graduation from law school, Ms. Castillo worked as a Briefing Attorney to Justice Paul Green at the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio. She has previously served as an editor for the Texas School Administrators’ Legal Digest and has authored several articles concerning school law, including articles on the Public Information Act, Open Meetings Act, sexual harassment, school employment issues, and student discipline. She has represented school districts in all areas of school law, including employment disputes, student discipline issues, and special education litigation. She has successfully represented school districts in federal and state court litigation, appellate matters, and administrative proceedings. Ms. Castillo is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Texas as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. She is also licensed to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
