Katie Payne is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, where she was a member of the Texas International Law Journal and represented abused and neglected children as a student attorney ad litem in the Children’s Rights Clinic. Ms. Payne graduated summa cum laude from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and Spanish and a secondary major in international studies. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Payne taught seventh grade language arts in the Houston Independent School District through the Teach for America program. She works in the San Antonio office, where her practice focuses on the representation of school districts in the areas of litigation and general school law.
