Robert Russo, a shareholder in the firm, is a 1977 honors graduate of the University of Texas School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Russo received a BA degree in Education, and then spent four years as an enlisted imagery interpreter in the U.S. Air Force. From 1977 to 1979, he served as a briefing attorney for U.S. District Judge Reynaldo G. Garza. From August of 1979 to January of 1993, he was in private practice in San Antonio, representing plaintiffs and defendants in both federal and state courts. In January of 1993, he joined the General Litigation Division of the Office of the Attorney General, handling a wide variety of cases involving state agencies and state employees, with an emphasis on employment and civil rights cases. Mr. Russo joined the firm in July of 1994 and is working in the firm’s San Antonio office, with an emplasis on student discipline, employment and governance issues..
